Midsummer 2012 Report

On June 17, 2012 Keeper of Seasons Hall met to celebrate Midsummer in the Sandia Foothills, using the same ritual site as the previous year. As with 2011, the city and surrounding areas had been suffering drought, but it was not so severe that we had to worry that our chosen site would be closed to the public. Continue reading

Midsummer 2007 report

Keeper of Seasons Hall met on July 1 to hold its 2007 Midsummer’s Blót. We met much earlier than usual in order to escape the worst of the summer heat. Though Albuquerque had been experiencing its usual summer warmth and dry weather recently, the grasses and other plants of the foothills were still pleasantly green and, in many places, still in bloom. Unfortunately, the vibrant life of the area included large numbers of gnats, which would make their presence known the entire time the Hall met. Continue reading
